What you need: A pickaxe.
Where to start: click on mining skill.
To start- Mine these ores holding your pickaxe...

Copper/Tin: 1-15
Iron: 15-30
Coal: 30-55
Mithril: 55-70
Addy: 70-85
Runite: 85-99

Note: You can also get mining experience from mining essence.

Haha yeah go with mining although its quite a hard skill to do...spend some time on it if you want the cape =]
